Founder’s Note:

I became a clinical social worker because of my firsthand experience with how systemic inequities affected mental wellness within my own community. Growing up in such a resource-rich city, I had so many questions! My curiosity questioned why some people had access, and others didn't? Why did I have more liquor stores than healthy food options? Why did my address limit extracurricular opportunities? 

I started to see it everywhere. Privilege wasn't just about money, it was about access. Access to nature, to safety, to time to rest, to people, to care. And without it, I watched depression, anxiety, and chronic stress take root, tangled up with insecurities in housing, food, income, education. 

I wanted to be part of the change, on every level. 15 years later….It remains foundational to my life's purpose. But truthfully? It's exhausting.
